Dr. Mindy Pelz

Hi I’m Dr. Mindy Pelz, DC. And I’ve been serving health to my community for over twenty years.

I absolutely love what I do because I know firsthand what it’s like to have your health taken from you. When I was a 19-year-old college student, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and told by top medical doctors that there was no good cure for my condition. I could not accept that grim prognosis, so I began my search for doctors that could help me. And it was through that team of holistic doctors that I regained my health.

This experience ignited a lifelong passion – some call it an “obsession” – with understanding health. After studying Exercise Science and Nutrition at the University of Kansas, I went on to get a doctorate degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic West. In 1996, I opened a Family Wellness Practice in the heart of Silicon Valley and have been giving busy families tools to reset their health ever since.

As a mother of two amazing teens (granted, I may be a bit biased), I have been balancing career, family, and my health for what feels like forever… and it hasn’t always been pretty. If your family is anything like mine, we live a crazy-busy, over scheduled life. The art of balancing these three parts of my life has created some incredible highs and some humbling lows.

I feel strongly that everyone has a unique path back to health. That’s why I especially love working with women. I find too many women today are out of answers with their health, especially as they age. Symptoms like depression, anxiety, brain fog, weight loss resistance, and fatigue are being labeled as the normal aging process. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Your body is a miracle! Once you understand how to tap into this miracle, you can overcome any health crisis you may be experiencing. That’s why I am very honored to join Dr. Sonya and Dr. Caitlin on this Women N Wellness podcast journey.

A few things you should know about me:

  • My family is my everything. When I am not in my practice, you will most likely find me on the sidelines of one of my kids’ sporting events. Both my kids are competitive athletes, which has taken us all over the world.
  • I am obsessed with learning. Whether It’s with my health, my marriage, my parenting skills, or the toolbox I use with patients, I am constantly on the lookout for new strategies to get me better and better results. I have stacks of books in every room in my house, podcasts cued-up on my phone, and I fly all over the country to attend seminars where I can discover fresh new out-of-the-box ideas.
  • My love language is making salads. My husband does most of the cooking in our house, but I make the salads. In fact, you could say I am a bit fanatical about making exotic, healthy salads for my loved ones. I go so far as to analyze everything from how the cut size of a vegetable affects the taste, to what oil makes for the best dressing. The results, if I do say so myself, are amazing!
